Gotcha4Life founder Gus Worland says he is just “so proud” of residents on the Northern Beaches who are doing the right thing in their response to the latest COVID-19 outbreak.
Mr Worland spoke to Sky News from lockdown at his Northern Beaches’ home.
“I’m just so proud of the beaches, the fact that so many of us have gone and got tested,” he said.
“I went out this morning to get some shopping and everyone’s wearing a mask, and everyone is doing their social distancing.
“We feel if we keep going along this line, then we will be out of this sooner rather than later.”
Mr Worland also said it was “annoying” to see some people recently flouting the rules and restrictions which have been put in place in a bid to stem the latest outbreak.
He also discussed the fact there are more and more people struggling with their “mental fitness” during this period of time.
“I’ve got a feeling that Australia’s in for a really tough time next year”.
Mr Worland spoke about Gotcha4Life, which is a non-for-profit foundation that funds training programmes, educational workshops and products aimed at building mental fitness in communities across Australia.
