Health Minister Greg Hunt has spruiked the possibility of a COVID-19 vaccine being available to all Australians next year.
The Morrison government is planning to have the COVID-19 vaccine available to anyone in the nation who wants it by October next year.
It is understood the roll out of a vaccine is still on track to begin in March for the most vulnerable, and frontline workers within the country.
“We are on track still to have our early assessments, most likely Pfizer and AstraZeneca, hopefully completed before the end of January,” Health Minister Greg Hunt said on Monday.
“With what’s occurring overseas, we will have the best information, we think, in the world to keep Australians safe,” he said.
