A lack of tree cover in our major cities is going to make it nearly impossible to walk around during the height of summer, according to a new report.

Pockets of western Sydney, in particular, have a grim outlook. A lack of tree cover there can add as much as 15 degrees on the hottest days.
Hobart is the only capital that has increased its tree cover.
