Sky News host Chris Smith says China’s “do as we say or else” attitude is part of the Communist ethos.
“The Chinese Government’s media mouthpiece, the Global Times, has illustrated today how super sensitive these sooks are,” he said.
“They’ve illustrated how arrogant they are too by jumping onto another of Australia’s chief supporters.”
Mr Smith revealed New Zealand was criticised by China for Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern’s condemnation of the offensive social media post, which claimed “Kiwis bleat like Aussie sheep but don’t condemn Afghan killings”.
It then went on to claim that Ms Ardern was coerced into supporting Australia.
“So for standing with Australia over that offensive fake image of an Aussie soldier slitting the throat of an Afghan child, and confirming she was sending a note to the Chinese Government about it, the Kiwis are called names and given a serve,” Mr Smith said.
“The Chinese are getting very confused. They coerce other governments, leaders, and their own people to do and say what they demand.
“That’s part of the Commo ethos. Do as we say, or else. Not the democracies of the world.”
The now bipartisan Foreign Relations Bill will allow the Commonwealth to block any agreement between Australian states, councils or institutions, and a foreign government.
“You can put money on the fact that Victoria’s 2018 Belt and Road deal will be the first casualty. And won’t that go down well with Chairman Dan Andrews,” Mr Smith said.
