Sky News host Paul Murrays say the arrogance of the Andrews government saw it implement a QR code system different to the one in New South Wales, which ended up failing on the first day it was rolled out.
Mr Murray said the system has worked for months in New South Wales, but for the Andrews government, they “couldn’t possibly do something that we didn’t come up with”.
“Chairman Dan finally released today, months after they’ve been in place in NSW… the QR code system and widely sent across Melbourne.
“But of course, it had to be the Melbourne version of it, so I’m assuming for some it comes with a beret, for others it might come with a liturgical dance in Fitzroy.
“Guess what happened, on the first day this thing was rolled out? It didn’t work.
“So rather than just copying the New South Wales system that’s worked, we had to come up with the Melbourne one.
“Because you couldn’t possibly just say someone had a better idea than you.”
