Sky News host Paul Murray says Australians know we have done nothing wrong to provoke China, apart from simply wanting more information about a pandemic which has killed 1.5 million people around the world.
“The prime minister is exactly where the country is when it comes to our relations with China,” Mr Murray said.
“Australia knows we have done nothing wrong to provoke China, apart from want more information on a pandemic that’s killed … 1.5 million people around the world and climbing every day, destroyed western societies and economies for at least the next decade or so.”
Mr Murray pointed to multiple left-leaning opinion polls which reveal the majority of people believe the prime minister was right to demand an apology from China and that Australia is the innocent victim of Chinese assertion.
“Brilliant response,” Mr Murray said.
