Analysis: Australia’s current COVID-19 numbers

Australia currently has 195 active cases of COVID-19, including both locally and overseas acquired infections, with 32 people in hospital and two patients in intensive care.

New South Wales has 104 active cases, with two patients being treated in hospital and one in intensive care.

Victoria has one patient in hospital and 34 active cases.

Queensland has 25 cases, which are all in hospital as per state protocols, along with one person in ICU.

South Australia has 11 active cases of which none are in hospital.

Western Australia also has 14 active cases, with no patients in hospital.

The Northern Territory has 7 active cases which are all in hospital as per state protocols.

Tasmania and the ACT do not have any active cases.
