Traces of coronavirus found in Queensland wastewater

Queensland residents are being encouraged to get tested for COVID-19 after traces of the virus were found in wastewater.

The traces were found in wastewater from the towns of Warwick and Stanthorpe, as well as the cities of Loganholme and Cairns.

The trace results have caused concern given the ongoing situation within both New South Wales and Victoria.

On Tuesday, Queensland recorded two new infections, both being returned travellers who are in hotel quarantine.
