On the weekend Australia once against marked Anzac Day, paying tribute to the nation’s servicemen and women.
It’s a tradition dating back to the First World War, which cost the lives of about 60,000 Australians.
But many of those who made it home were marked by the experience for the rest of their days, and died with little recognition.
Now a volunteer group is working to restore the memory of those veterans, as Angelique Donnellan reports.
