Pressure growing on ASEAN to declare a position on Myanmar | The World

ASEAN is under pressure to reach a united front on the coup in Myanmar. It comes after Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi confirmed she would not travel to Myanmar for scheduled talks with the country’s military leaders.

Aaron Connelly, research fellow at the International Institute for Strategic Studies, says he’s unsure if Ms Marsudi’s visit would have made a difference.
