Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian was “piling on the pressure” on Prime Minister Scott Morrison ahead of Monday’s National Cabinet meeting.
Mr Clennell spoke of Monday’s National Cabinet meeting, where the country’s leaders discussed the vaccine rollout in the nation.
The National Cabinet will now meet twice a week, as the nation continues to face challenges with its rollout of the jabs.
“Well we want to see some progress don’t we,” Mr Clennell said.
“And we know one of the main concerns too, is people over 50 who are now told to take AstraZeneca being reluctant to take AstraZeneca because of these extremely rare, one in 200,000 blood clotting incidents.
“So, that’s a challenge as well.”
