Sky News host Chris Smith says how often it is seen that we observe politicians “looking worse for wear” in how they try to smother a drama as opposed to the drama they created in the first place.
It comes after New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian has revealed she did not self-isolate while awaiting coronavirus test results and went about her daily activities as normal.
“Fortunately, the test came back in a couple of hours and it was negative,” she confirmed this morning.
“I did act in those two hours as though it was normal, I didn’t take any extra precautions apart
from the normal social distancing I always do, and anyone who comes to my office, has anything to do with me, knows how fussy I am with all of that.
“So, they’re the facts, and I’ll let others judge that.”
The state’s health advice strictly advises anyone who receives a COVID test to isolate until they receive their results.
“No Gladys, wouldn’t you just fess up,” Mr Smith said.
