Sky News Host Chris Kenny says if you think the politicians and media are fuelling hysteria on the coronavirus and its vaccine rollout, “tell them, get your jab, and carry on”.

“I’ve been on about this for a year now. It is not Ebola. We were supposed to be about flattening the curve. Be sensible. Be like New South Wales,” he said.

“Anyway, of course, the media and politics are in full panic, hysteria, and overreaction again over the Astra Zeneca vaccine.

“The Prime Minister called an unusual late-night press conference last night to tell the country about new advice saying if you’re under 50, you should talk to your doctor about the risk of blood clots with this vaccine.

“It is a low risk, but as we discussed on the show yesterday, the point is that the risk of COVID is tiny, so people should talk to their doctors about weighing up one infinitesimal risk against another that’s even smaller.

“But you know the pandemic, you know politics, you know the media.”
