The death toll from Myanmar’s military coup has risen above 50, as people continue to take to the streets.
On Wednesday alone, 38 people were killed, in the bloodiest day in the country since demonstrations began just over a month ago.
Deputy Director of Human Rights Watch’s Asia division, Phil Robertson, says the suppression resembles the Tiananmen Square massacre, with the military firing on protesters.
