Restaurants in Melbourne are “incredibly concerned” and are calling for the state government to remove the one person per two-square-meter rule, according to News Corp’s Finance Writer Sophie Elsworth.
“A lot of them (businesses) are operating around 50 per cent, we may have a restaurant for instance that can have 150 people, and at the moment they’re only having 75,” Ms Elsworth told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“They’re turning away bookings, and they’re incredibly concerned, once JobKeeper ends in a few weeks’ time, if these capacity limits are still in place there’s going to be real trouble.”
