Sky News host Chris Kenny says automobile maker Jeep has “blown some cash” on its “hypocritical” Super Bowl advertisement after it was pulled.
The advertisement – which enlisted “the millionaire working man’s hero” Bruce Springsteen – was all about finding the middle ground in the “reunited states of America”, according to Mr Kenny.
“Well, an update, the ad has now been pulled, not because Springsteen was a Democrat campaigner during divisive times, not because he’s a millionaire masquerading as an everyday worker.
“It’s been pulled because it turns out he was done for driving under the influence late last year. Jeep can hardly run an ad with someone busted for DUI.
“Springsteen’s limo driver must have had a night off, looks like Jeep have blown some cash on that one.”
