Former White House staff member Barbara Heineback says it is now a “time of gloom” because President Donald Trump did end up being a one-term president.
It comes after Joe Biden secured all Electoral College votes in crucial swing states Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
When all states finish voting, the President-elect is expected to lead over Trump by 306-232.
Electors from all states cast their ballots on Monday, with the official result to be announced at congress on January 6.
“It’s a time of gloom because Trump did end up being a one-term president,” Ms Heineback told Sky News host Chris Smith.
“Instead of the boxes being pulled out, people are scrambling trying to get on someone else’s team.”
