Australia needs to fight to restore economic stability for the sake of its national sovereignty because “if the economy is weak, then your national sovereignty is vulnerable,” according to Sky News host Alan Jones.
Mr Jones said he was “disappointed” at where Australia was in relation to the coronavirus.
“The cost to the nation has been absolutely extraordinary,” he said.
“We should open up the economy, let people be responsible for their own health.
“There have been sufficient warnings about who are at risk, I am one of those people at risk, there are others.
“We know how to manage our health; we don’t need politicians to be telling us so.
“Where we are economically, the virus has weakened us.
“If the economy is weak, then your national sovereignty is vulnerable, so we’ve got a long fight back.”
