New South Wales Health Minister Brad Hazzard says the state’s managing to have two consecutive days of single figure overnight coronavirus infections amid the Sydney cluster is “extremely impressive”.
It comes after New South Wales – from nearly 42,000 tests – recorded eight further cases of coronavirus overnight, the same figure as was seen on Tuesday.
Discussing how quickly the New South Wales Government has moved to stem the spread of the Avalon cluster, Mr Hazzard said the case numbers are now “extremely impressive”.
“It goes to the way New South Wales has approached this right from the word ‘go’,” he told Sky News host Chris Smith.
“We have the best of the best health teams.
“Life is about experience, and COVID life is definitely about what you’ve suffered, what you’ve experienced and what you’ve learnt from it.”
