Sky News host Paul Murray says Donald Trump may have just “made America great again” through his Operation Warp Speed despite the lack of media credit given to him.

President Trump made countless claims throughout the election campaign that there will be a vaccine by year’s end, an assertion which was widely criticised as false by America’s media.

However, Pfizer has begun a rollout of its COVID-19 vaccine from a factory in Michigan.

Sky News US political commentator Joe Hockey said credit is rarely given in politics and “criticism is freely given”.

“The fact is that Operation Warp Speed has been extraordinary,” he said.

“The massive industrial military complex of the US, backed by the most innovative economy in the world, has kicked in and delivered.

“And it will deliver for the whole world what we really need, which is a vaccine.”
