Donald Trump has “taken over the Republican Party” and his result in the US election has paradoxically “almost sort of strengthened him in the Republicans,” according to the Australian Financial Review’s Aaron Patrick.
“He got such a huge vote, 70 million people,” Mr Patrick told Sky News.
Mr Patrick said, despite losing the election, Donald Trump “is not this spent force”.
It comes as a small number of Republicans have publicly called for Donald Trump to officially concede the election.
Fellow panelist, The Australian’s Troy Bramston, said Donald Trump is “perfectly entitled” to challenge the election results and the election process.
“But almost all of his court cases have gone absolutely nowhere,” Mr Bramston said.
