Donald Trump has the charisma, ideas, public following and the business acumen to “easily rise again,” according to Sky News host Alan Jones.

The former US president has taken the stage for the first time since leaving office, declaring the journey is far from over.

Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando, Florida, Mr Trump said America is in a historic struggle for its future, its culture and its institutions.

“We began it together four years ago and it is far from being over,” Mr Trump said.

“In the end we will win, we will win.”

Mr Jones said, “no one in political history has commanded the rallies that we have witnessed in support of Trump”.

“The Western world, the free world, is desperately short of leaders who respond, not to the grab bag of ideological fantasies paraded by minorities, but rather for the simple and unsolved needs of millions and millions of ordinary people,” Mr Jones said.

“Trump has stood up to the rabble”.
