BREAKING: PM praises first vaccine but says ‘we’re not there yet’

The Prime Minister says its ‘amazing’ to see this ‘shot in the arm’ for public health but stresses that the virus is ‘still rising’ across the country.

Today a 90-year-old grandmother became the world’s first person to receives the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine outside of clinical trials.

Diverting from the pandemic he also said a Brexit trade deal is ‘looking very, very difficult at the moment’ as he prepares for a make-or-break visit to Brussels.
