Australia is heading for a “national security election” and we can expect to see a “fair bit of khaki” for a while to come, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“We are seeing it loud and clear now,” he said.
“China has been belligerent in its diplomacy and has targeted our nation with trade sanctions in retaliation for us just talking common sense.”
Mr Kenny said the election is about a year away, but we can “see the themes” such as COVID security, border security, standing up to China and national security.
“These are Coalition strengths, these are Morrison strengths,” he said.
“And these areas also happen to be weaknesses for Labor’s socialist left, the factional base of none other than Anthony Albanese.”
