Sky News host Paul Murray says a recent “bit of lefty lunacy” is the notion that “healthcare itself is racist”.
“Thankfully, we have been told by those who know the world better than you or I, apparently racism is everywhere in medicine,” Mr Murray said.
“Apparently, the screening assessments are one of the things that are particularly racist.”
An article in the Scientific American recently reported “many of the screening assessments used in healthcare are exacerbating racism in medicine, automatically and erroneously changing the scores given to people of colour in way that deny them needed treatment”.
“Of course, the reason they need the treatment, regardless of any skin colour, is what is happening inside your body, not what others can see from the other side of the room,” Mr Murray said.
