Former Premier of Victoria Jeff Kennett has reflected on the life of Andrew Peacock, saying the former Liberal leader was a “consummate diplomat”.
“He was very polite, very well educated,” Mr Kennett told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“He built very good relationships with people”.
Andrew Peacock passed away last Friday night at his home in the US, aged 82.
“I’m never sure he had the killer instinct that a lot of politicians need to get over the line first,” Mr Kennett said.
“Andrew … more than anything he else was a consummate diplomat whether in politics or out of it”.
