In Joe Biden’s first 50 days he is having a “lend of democracy”, letting it “wither on the vine” by refusing to engage in a two-way conversation and expose himself to accountability, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.
“President Joe Biden is going to make an address to his nation tomorrow morning, Thursday night US time,” Mr Kenny said.
“The thing about Biden is that all his appearances – if you’ve been watching closely – are very staged, very stilted, they’re choreographed, and scripted”.
“How long do you think since President Biden has done a press conference as president? … He has done none, not one press conference.”
Mr Kenny said the president “hid in his basement for much of the campaign” and tomorrow will be his 50th day as president “without submitting to a press conference”.
“Whoever you are and whatever your politics, a president who will not front up is a big worry,” he said.
“In these first 50 days Biden is having a lend of democracy, letting it wither on the vine by refusing to engage in a two way conversation and open himself up to testing and accountability.”
