Luna Park Sydney is under investigation for potential COVID-19 breaches at its New Year’s Eve party after footage emerged of a crowd crushed as guests fought for a spot to watch the midnight fireworks.
Those who bought tickets for the event feel they were forced into a high-risk situation.
The incident has sparked two separate investigations into the event, with Luna Park Sydney saying it will “fully co-operate with any inquires or information-gathering by NSW authorities”.
Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she was not aware of what had happened, however “any breach, intentionally or unintentionally causes us great concern, and if that was the case we’ll be on top of it straight away.”
