Sky News contributor Nicholas Reece says he has “faith in the Victorian government,” despite the last hotel quarantine operation in the state being a debacle.
Melbourne Airport has once again opened to international flights, with a number of planes landing in the state on Monday.
Victoria’s revamped hotel quarantine scheme is set to be put to the test months after the program sparked a devastating second wave of coronavirus in the state.
“I do have faith in the Victorian government and the capacity of the Victorian corrections service and health service to get this right,” Mr Reece told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“I’m confident that it’s not beyond the capability of Australia and not beyond the capability of Victoria to get this right,” Mr Reece said.
